The Making of botIBI: Materials and 3D Print Prototyping

October 17, 2019IBI Group’s Visualization Specialist, Wilson Loh, shares the process for 3D print prototyping and discusses the selection of materials used to create the firm’s new brand persona, botIBI.
Wilson is a Visualization Specialist working on the Design Technology team at IBI’s Toronto headquarters. He draws on years of experience in industrial design and architectural model-making, and is responsible for operating IBI’s 3D printer and laser cutter to create architectural models, signage, and custom packaging for a range of clients and business development opportunities. Additionally, Wilson is a member of the botIBI design team, where he brings forth his knowledge of materials and 3D-print production to prototype figurines of botIBI, IBI’s new brand persona. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Design from the University of Alberta, as well as a Masters in Design Strategy from Politecnico di Milano.
